I just published a small selection of photos from the last couple weeks of school.  Over the year, as I take more and more photos, our online photo gallery will grow.  This photo gallery is a fun way to see what happens in our classroom and the changes in students over the course of the year.

This last week I decided it was time to create our first class podcast.  The put this podcast together in two days, so it was a very quick turnaround.  Usually students will have a week to research, write, practice and produce the podcast.  I wanted to get the podcast ball rolling so we just jumped in.

Pariswi’s mom was a wonderful help!  She took our first podcast crew (Pariswi, Noah, Saheed, Sarah, Demeris) to the Reading Center with our laptop to practice and record.  Great job everyone!

Math Snacks Videos

I found a site full of interesting and helpful math videos.  This site was created by two teachers.  The videos on this site are similar to some of the videos students will make for their science projects and similar to the math videos I would like students to make in our class as well.

The videos on this website are set up as a podcast.  You subscribe to them and as new videos appear they will automatically be updated on your computer.  You can use iTunes or another “pod-catching” application.
