Dear wonderful students of Room 18,

It was a great honor to be your teacher this year. I will always remember my first class and look forward to hearing about all your wonderful accomplishments in the future. I am going to a second grade class next term but will write to you from time to time and you can post me an update as well. I will look forward to your “Who am I” and will email my response to see if I can guess them (and do the math problem as well).

Thank you all for your great letters, pictures and gifts, they were awesome. So many of you mentioned the bean bag chair, I am glad you like it- enjoy it while you read a great book. To answer some of your questions – the games we played in class I learned in theater classes taking improvisation. If you look up theater games on google and I am sure you can find some more.

I also didn’t like math and found it difficult when I was in school but it turned out to be the skill I used the most in my career and I got pretty good at it. I used to work in advertising evaluating media programs. I ┬ánever thought I would have to be good at math because I wanted to be in the arts, but you never know what you need to know in life to get ahead. So learn everything they teach you in school so you don’t miss out on any opportunities.

I will be back to visit (maybe sooner than you think), so take care and let me know what goes on in Room 18.

Thanks,

Mrs. S.
