Very clear explanation. I may share it with my students. Thank you.

I get it. But I was looking for a difference between a digits place and a digits value.

Great explanation. Very clear. My question is – during the explanation about the digits 0-9 you said they aren’t numbers, only digits. However, we can give a value to these digits and then aren’t they numbers? I am thinking about Preschool and Kindergarten students who are learning one to one correspondence. How would you explain that?

thank you for this it helped me explain it better to my seven year old

I think that it’s very simple for a student to understand about this difference.
