Dear Parents,
Students are now allowed to check out classroom books to take home. We are starting with students being able to check out one book at a time.
With this privilege comes responsibility. If students lose a book, they will be asked to pay the cost of replacing the book. This system is the same system that is in place at our school library and most public libraries. I personally spent a lot of time and money this summer finding and purchasing books that I knew would be well liked by our fourth grade readers. We have many popular books that all the students in our class share and it is important that we keep our book collection together.
As always, think about our classroom during your child’s birthday time. Buying a book for our class library is always a hit and will have a lasting impact on our children!
Please contact me if you have any questions of concerns about this book check-out policy.
Thank you!
