Today we learned a new way to subtract across zeros. This was the way my dad taught me how to subtract across zeros when I was growing up. It made things much easier for me.
Although it may take a few tries to get the hang of it, in the long run, it will make things quicker for most kids. The video below shows a few examples of how to solve math problems using this method. The video refers to this method as “Step Ladder Subtraction”.
